Goals
To improve the health conditions and quality of life or remote rural
CPR communities.
Purposes
- To develop the capacity of the local heath services sector
- To promote health enhancing practices and behaviours in the CPR
communities
- To provide primary health care services in the CPR
communities
- To establish the necessary health service infrastructure
Main Activities
- Hire local staff for the local Health Team
- Build and restore Primary Health Care Clinics
- Train local staff and community promoters in general health,
reproductive health, oral hygiene, basic pharmacology, and natural
medicine
- Provide bursaries for nursing assistant students
- Offer a public health education program
- Provide a resource centre for the Health Team
- Provide reproductive health services for
women
Anticipated Results
- There is a dependable professionally trained Health Team
capable of attending health needs in the community and educating
community members and promoters
- Functioning Primary Health Care Clinics posts provide services
to the community
- Heightened community awareness of preventive health and
sanitation matters
- Health promoters address the basic health care needs of their
communities
- Women will have improved access to culturally sensitive family
planning services
